So we said farewell to the last guest a few days ago, and now we have a chance to reflect and settle into married life in Barbados.

It's been a hell of a run so far - 3 months + of hard work and 1 month + of partying, we are broken but happy.

And as I said on the night, we can't thank everyone enough for making the effort to be there, least of all when you thought it was just going to be my 40th!

First guests arrived on the 22nd January and the last left on the 11th March - given that the building wasn't/isn't finished, what were we thinking?!

So flattered that so many people came - feels like you all spanned out and covered everything that the island had to offer!

Really hope that everyone enjoyed it as much as we did, and that you'll come back to see us again.

If it's not 50-60 people at once then it will be far more manageable and we'll gladly have you at the house itself, with or without ceilings, hot water, etc.

I can't thank my wife (!) enough for all the hard work that she put in, least of all putting up with me.
She had the vision of the location, and worked tirelessly to pull everything together even while looking after Etta (and hearing my daily gripes about the renovations).

Without her none of this would be possible or probable - she had me searching the island for pallets on the eve of the wedding to make her deck, and despite my concerns it worked out really well.
She even managed to turn a 5 minute meeting on Bottom Bay with Shamar into our coconut bar on the night - it's not something he normally does, but Jenn made it work brilliantly.

I have tried to say all the thank yous to you all but it isn't enough, it all really was a team effort (not just Jenn) and despite exhaustion and spiralling hangovers it has been amazing.

Now we may have a chance to sleep and acclimatise properly, perhaps some "liming" as the Bajans call it.

There is still a lot of work to be done but now we're past the wedding we have no deadlines and we're on island time.

These are some samples of our wedding photos, but please share yours here.
We will also add photos - thank you again for all the great memories.

P.S. Please feel free to leave glowing reviews of Three Palms Barbados on Google or TripAdvisor, or send them to me for the website!
