It's not wise to underestimate how much work goes into packing a shipping container, and we very nearly did.
Years of earning, and months of buying & storing nearly came to nothing when water started to rot the goods before they even left the UK.
Who would have thought that the famous British rain could do so much? Thankfully only one sofa really suffered, and that quickly became "ours" rather than "guests".

Finally one 20 foot container rolling out, full of goods and hard work.
We would never have got there without the support of our good friend Paul Tinton from Prowaste who kindly let us store on his site and disturb his routine regularly.
Equally his colleague Lucas who raced through the packing at the same pace as his giant can of Red Bull.
And the hero that was Linton, a Guyanese grandfather who took it all in his stride, courtesy of Inter Island Shipping.

The before you know it, everything is wending it's way across the ocean to our new house.
Where we will struggle to unpack, make and store everything.
In a building site.
In a Caribbean heatwave.
